best bet is to take to a honda dealership and let them do it. They probably charge you 30 bucks.

Its easy, take a drill bit, and drill out the old rivets, (don't remember what size the bit is, but you want the one thats not to small and not to big, so it sits in the center of the rivet) Once you drill out the old rivets on the one dash, do the same on the other.

Once thats done, find the rivet that fits inside the vin plate hole, and sits nicely inside the holes on the dash. Get your rivet gun out, and use it like you normal would.

well for $23.55 later i got it done. I had to buy some drill bits I could'nt find one that fit so i just bought a new set. Then I had to buy some metal snips and a rivet gun and rivets. But it worked out. 1/8 drill bit to drill out the old ones. then a 1/8 rivet in to it and blam it looks fresh and clean. thanks. btw the honda dealer is about 70 miles from me and the tech had no clue what i was talking about.

thanks,
Wil

I worked at a honda dealership and I knew considerably more about 88-91 civics than the shop foreman even did (I was the one of the detailers)

They only care about and get trained on newer stuff and tend to slowly forget the "classics"

yea its funny how that works. but with the econmy in the trash can you would think they would notice the older stuff that most people drive because they get great gasmilage and run forever. oh well yea life is life and thats how it goes. then there is us people who do 99% of our own work or learn from the others who do
