Default RWD Del Sol?

Has anyone ever attempted to swap in a f20c or f22c motor and do the RWD conversion into a Del Sol before? I think that would be pretty sweet but most of you would be like "what for?" just get an s2k.... just wondering cuz it would be something different than the usual

a RWD del sol is old hat.

They did a B18CR rwd conversion in the late 90's....it was turbo'd and made 450-480whp

It was a mid-engine conversion

An FR layout in the del sol wouldnt be worth the effort --- an MR layout would be and has already been done.

Rather than worry about expensive conversions I would say a twin cam del sol could easily make the power youll need and handle just fine for street duty.

Different for the sake of being "different" isnt always a good thing....you could tear up a Del Sol and stuff a number of engines in an FR layout but again --- why tear up a perfect del sol?

Its a waste of money and thats why you wont see it.

FD, AP1/2, Silvia etc...a number of FR platforms already exist....no need to take an FF and make it an FR....if anything the MR setup makes more sense in those chassis...
