Default power door lock control unit

i thought i could finish my power window/door installation today and i ran into a bit of a roadblock. i finished up the power window conversion and everything works great...

i'm trying to get the power locks to work and i can't figure out where to plug in the door lock control box. i have a 2000 dx hatch and i know that it's supposed to plug in somewhere under the driver's side kick panel but i can't for the life of me find a plug that fits... does anyone know how this plugs in? any help would be much appreciated.

i've been following this DIY that's been floating around on the interwebz but it's for a 96-98 civic where the box is in the driver's side door panel. it looks like the connectors are on the harness itself but i can't find anything on my swapped harness...

thanks!!

thanks but i don't think it will work...

i was reading about how the 99-00 hatchback dash harness doesn't have that plug for the lock control box like the ex/si....

i also read about someone wiring up two relays to get this to work... does anyone have any more info about this??

okay.. another idea... is it possible to use a driver's side door harness from a 96-98 and get the lock control unit that plugs into that inside the driver's side door? would that harness plug into the 99-00 floor harness without any issues?

anyone??

Hi,
I have a 97 Accord that had a 'run in' with a guard rail and I needed to change both drivers side(power locks, windows, mirrors) doors. I went to scrap yard, and they had two replacements. I'm not sure what year they were from.

The front door wiring plugged in, but the back door plug was a different size. When I went to start the car after the change, the door locks would not work, and the car would not start. At first I thought it was the security system. After all I just "broke" into the car right?

After a couple of hours I found that the 20A door lock fuse was blown. I replaced it, and it blew again as soon as you took the key out of the ignition or you used the electronic door locks.

I took the new and old door apart. The new door(year unknown) had a black box labeled "Door Lock Control" but the original(97) did not. I removed the box and the fuse stopped blowing, but now the power windows do not work........

Anyway, that's where you put the "Door Lock Control" on some vehicles.
