Think I might have a new H2 Driver
While I was at MARRS Whatever this weekend I talked to a guy driving an ITS Integra (running low 1:27'S at summit) . He said he had never heard of the Honda Challenge. I told Him about it he seemed interested. H2 look out
Also got to see Alex Ratcliff own some AS's (American Sedan) with low 1:28's on expired Hoosier's
AI vs HC Watz up

An ITS Prepped GS-R or lesser Teg is an H3 car (unless the go over the .20 overbore). GAC Teg would be bumped (if fully GAC prepared) to H2.

Ask Chris ... ummm, RStoR.
I think we watched that car do a few laps from the carousel bleechers during some NASA event, then the guy just put it on an enclosed trailer.
I said it would probably get bumped to H1, ... well, because it at least had remote reservoir shocks.

ITS doesn't include the ITR.
As Tony said "While I was at MARRS Whatever this weekend I talked to a guy driving an ITS Integra"

Well, it's either that or ITE ... now that you mention it.
What color was the car?
Speaking of MARRS, I know the guys that came in 2nd and 3rd in FV, and heard there were quite a few wrecks last weekend.

I'm not exactly, but sure from what he was telling me it would be H2 car
But the ITR we saw was booking ... doing min 1:27s and possibly a few seconds lower.
Many Mugen pieces, and I'd heard 225 Hoosiers all around.
Steve Hoffman is his name
94 GSR integra is his car
2nd is what he toke in ITS MARRS 6
Why he was'nt ITE with Alex I don't know
But low 1:27's is F'ING FAST for H3

Or am I missing something real obvious and showing my ignorance?
I'm not all that knowledegable about SCCA classing, but I do know that 325i's own ITS in the WDC region and a GSR Integra taking 2nd place is dam impressive
As for him being in H2 I may be wrong
So H3 LOOK OUT

It could be an ITS GSR, but with remote reservoir shocks and maybe an aftermarket ECU. Both of these things are perfectly legal (currently at least) in ITS but bump you up one class in ECHC. This is why Alex R's GSR is in H2.
Note that Ratcliffe's car would be H3 legal except for his shocks (which cost more than Whittaker's entire car).

True.....
Those RR shocks on Rats car are big bucks. Very cool stuff.
John- Who enjoys racing a inexpensive race car but is REALLY looking for a 'new' 03 racer!!!
The H5 Civic- Most likely will be forsale after VIR.

I was there as well. Does anyone know what happened to car #33(james evans)in ITA? Good racing!!
Ed, last year, there was a Grand Am Cup ITR running 1:24's at Summit, lots of mugen bits, Warren knows his name, Dennis something.....
If he was running 1:27's at summit, I have my work cut out for me.. (Best is 1:28.0 for me)

Think James blew his motor he was smoking bad past EV And did'nt make it back the next lap
Alex has also ran 1:27s different weekends different track conditions but still very fast

I have been impressed with Steve Hoffman's GSR running in ITS. this main differences between his and my car is a +20 overbore and a 4.90 rear end. He also uses Revalved Konis and runs about 150lb heavier than I do. Given all that his performance is very impressive (READ - better driver than me), and makes me wonder if Im gaining much from the Moton shocks. I hope he comes out to Honda-challenge, it would be fun. I "think" he is H3 legal, but could probably own me at summit.
I'd like to try the 4.90 as the 4.7 I moved to doesnt help me much. I still have to use 2nd gear due to the vtec, which is what I was trying to avoid.
anyone know where a 4.90 can be sourced?

I don't want H5 to go the way of H6!!But, I do see your point, it would be fun to have a lot more HP's - Maybe someday a 2nd Gen Tegra will sit beside my old 1st Gen -
--Floyd, who can already forsee the paint being sucked off the side of the old Integra as he gets lapped by the H1/2/3... cars at Lowes
