i have a 1999 honda civic 1.6y8 vtec the tranny is ****ed and i got one for 80 but there is electronics on the old tranny that the new does not have,also the new one has a cable in the front of the tranny and the old one has it in the back check pics, i asked the guy who sold it to me he said all the electronics should swap over but it looks like it does not have the same solenoids, so wat tranny do i need besides a 5speed pics \/

new tranny 80bucks 95K the seller took it out for 5speed swap

no electronics or solenoids

The tranny you just bought is either an M24A ('92 - '94 civic) or an A24A ('95 civic) It wont work from an electrical perspective. What you need is the transmission from any '96 - '00 civic (except the HX coupe)

That'll work just fine. Again any '96 - '00 civic automatic tranny will work (except for the HX coupe, it uses a CVT tranny thats incompatible from both a wiring and mount perspective.)
