New ITR owner
Hey hows it going everyone just writing to say whats up and also ask a couple of questions. I just purchased a 2001 NHBP ITR #569. I've been on this forum for quite awhile just do alot more reading then posting. I used to own a 91 crx with a motor swap then eventually sold it and purchased an 98 Eagle Talon Tsi awd. It really feels great to get back to my roots though and I dont think I could have purchased a better car.
So on to my first question. The gentlemen i bought the car from said the car is 100% bone stock which I believe it is. But the is a little ats sticker on the side window and couldn't figure out for the life of me if maybe it had an upgraded lsd or possibly a new final drive. Around 50 mph the car is right around 2800 rpms if that helps at all. My other question is I need to buy some new tires and was looking around on tire rack and the only decent tires I could find were in the 195/50/r15 or 205/50r15 category and I know the originals are 195/55/r15. Which of the of the tires above do you think would be best for the original wheels. Thnx everyone and I look foward to chating and learning from you all. also I cant figure how to make these sentences indented proberly.

Congrats on the purchase. I remember what it was like when I brought my little lady home.
I would go with the 205/50R15`s. Also get and alarm and GPS. Oh and post some pics of her!

Congrats on the pick up!!!!
I'd go with 205/50/r15
but you might want to check the ATS website or contact them personally to see what products they offer.

I'd run these. Keep her safe and never sell, you'll regret it (I do anyway).

205 Azenis would be ok but you'll get some sloppiness in the steering feel with stock rims. I have some 205 width Azenis on 15x7 rims and they do great on those.
For the stock rims I think Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec in the stock size would be good. They're $91 each at Tirerack and Dunlop is running a $50 rebate deal on them now.

Did you buy this from a stealership in Illinois (chicagoland) by any chance? If so...you bought it right out from under my friend lol.
Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 starspecs are available in 195/55/15. There's only a 10mm difference between the 205s and 195s...I'd just buy the stickiest tire you could find in either size. Since the starspecs are one of...if not THE stickiest street tires out right now...I'd go with those.
I will do my best to get some pics up soon ive been waiting for a nice day to wash and wax plus my new car cover just came in. Any wax you guys recommend . I also just installed my new dunlop dirreza let me tell you wow hands down best tire ive ever owned 195/55R15 FTW!
