How much does the alignment change with me in the driver's seat?
I used to get alignments done at a place that let me sit in the driver's seat while he did it. But now I've moved far away and the places here say that they can't (or more likely won't) do it with me in the seat and I don't have 150lbs of stuff to haul there and use instead. Anyone here ever check the difference with you in and out of the driver's seat and have numbers for toe and camber settings that you can show me?
you don't work out or don't have weights at home? if your that concerned.. just get some plates and put it in the footwell area or behind the driver seat... thas an easy way to put 150 lbs in your car.. I'm sure either you or your friends have weights...
I don't know how much of a difference it would make though... most places won't let you do this (at least in CA) probably because they don't want you to get hurt somehow and insurance purposes or whatever.. .they don't want to get busted for endangering a customer/customer getting hurt and be liable...
4 wheel alignments range.. I've seen them anywhere from $50-79 for a 4 wheel computerized alignment...

the only thing that will alter with you in the car is maybe a little bit of negative camber since the car will lower a tiny bit when you sit in the car, as far as toe or anyting like that, it should not be affected at all. I've done many allighments and never heard of any consideration like that, i'd rather think that it was the original shop that has a misconception rather than all the other shops that do it without you in the car.
