Default ARP main studs

Hey all, i'm just wondering if i need to install ARP main studs in my B18C1? I'm planning to eventually make 200 whp and be revving to about 9000 rpm. So i have a couple of questions.
1). Do i need to run ARP main studs?

2). If i do need to run ARP studs, will i need to have the block line honed because of the extra torque the ARP's take to yeild them?

Thanks!

Okay so if i go with ARP main studs then will i need to get the block line honed because the studs take more torque to tighten than the factory bolts?

Yes it would be best if you had the block line honed if using the ARP mains.

Definitely upgrade the rod bolts, they are the most stressed part of the engine especially if you are reving it higher than stock.

No, you do not need to run arp main studs. They are good for car making well over 500 whp.

Thanks man. I am running ARP rod bolts and head studs. I just did'nt know if main studs would be overkill or not.

main studs are fairly strong, you can but do you need to? Probably not.
