I'm looking at putting a set of Motegi MR-7 rims onto my car. Right now I have the stock 14 in. wheels and I am looking at putting either 16's or 17's on. Could anybody who has put these sizes of rims onto thier car tell me if it is a good idea, or if it will throw the car off to much with those sizes.

 

You match rim sizes with tires so that you don't change the overall rolling diameter of the wheel.

What kind of car and year do you have? I didn't think that there was ever a prelude with 14's...

 

S model...14" stock rims...

I recommend 16's for Preludes. 17's are fine if you get some light weight ones (like me). It isnt hurting my performance, I can still chirp 3rd and occassionally 4th with brand new tires

 

the 4th gen S model with 14inch steelies and hubcaps, and of course all earlier models.
