about to replace a piston in my 92
h23, im about to replace the piston. what i need to know are what are the differences in the A and B pistons, and what kind of sleeving does a stock h23 block have, cause i might bore it .25 over and use an oversized piston.
If im not mistaken..the h23 has the FRM sleeves..if you want to put OS pistons in there they'd have to be FRM compatible or if its not FRM compatible you would have to sleeve the block
Straight from Honda manual,
.
AAAA or BBBB numbers are etched on the block closer to the drivers side .. order the original-sized piston on that cylinder ( whether it be A or B-sized ) ..
.
A: 87.010-87.020mm (3.4256-3.4260in)
B: 87.000-87.010mm (3.4252-3.3665in)
service limit: 87.070 (3.4279IN)
.
H23 stock sleeves ... FRM ... ( every H-series motor has FRM sleeves )
