Just got a flyer from OG Racing today. Flyer stated that ATE Superblue/TYP-200 had been discontinued (not discontinued to be sold by OG Racing). Just wanted to see if anyone had any information on this.

Chris - who may have to stock up on brake fluid in times of distress.

 

Just got some from Andie at Cobalt Friction Technologies (1 bottle of each type).
If this is going to be discontinued, better stock up!

 

Instead of spending big bucks on brake fluid. Try using Ford (Motorcraft). No kidding, it is great stuff - and cheap too. I have used it in my race car and have never had any problems, it has the same specs as Motul.

 

I believe only the Super Blue is discontinued, Type 200 will still be sold.

I have not heard anything from Ate regarding discontinuing the Ate Super Blue Racing brake fluid.

Cobalt currently has ~75 bottles in stock, and will be receiving an additional 200 bottles in another week, so be rest assured that, AFAIK, the Ate Super Blue is not being discontinued.

I also have the Ate Typ200 Gold/Amber in stock...expecting another 100 bottles within a week's time.

QUICK UPDATE ON ATE TYP200 GOLD:

Well, that was quick...despite reassurances that neither of the Ate brake fluids would be discontinued any time soon...I'm now out of stock on the Ate Typ200...go figure. (Don't worry, Zygspeed...it wasn't your "fault", hehe.) I don't think I've ever seen 40 bottles of brake fluid run off the shelf that quickly... And, the Typ200 wasn't even the one that was "rumored" to be discontinued. Alas, certain aspects of market dynamics will never make sense to me. <grin>

No worries, as I'm expecting another 100 bottles of the Typ200 shortly.
