Default stock exhaust piping size

I have done some research

For the Civic in years of 96-00, EJ, EK, EM's
What are the stock exhaust piping sizes?

I hear that all trim levels except Si, EX are 1.75"
Si, EX share 2", just the difference of chrome tip @ the end for Si.

if I currently have 2.25" aftermarket piping for exhaust on my car,
and I were to put on Si or EX axle back part on, or weld it on,
will the back pressure be too much for the car?

Only mods I have on the car is short ram intake.

I'm just getting really annoyed from 5zigen fireball muffler installation
from the previous owner, and looking for something quiet.

Also, should I weld it on or use flange to bolt'em on?

Sorry I can't help you on the size of the piping, though I do have a muffler on my car from some 6th gen sedan, and it is 1.75". As far as putting the stock axle back on your car, if it's the stock size piping, then it won't be too small to cause any back pressure problems (since that's what originally came with the car). Personally I'd say to use a flange and bolt it on, for ease of removal and installation.
