Icon7 B16 vs H22

Hey everyone i know how dumb this question is but get this ok and give me input and let me know what you think.....Alright anyways this all started this guy has an Eg hatch with a Jdm d15 vtec motor and i have a stock civic Cx hb with a D16y7 full exhaust and lowered on steelies thats it.Well anyways he raced me talking trash saying he was gonna win so i went for it well i beat him by about four cars from a 40drop.So he says it was his rims but he had 17s that weighed nothing for 17s they were like 18pounds filled with air...But now as of a week ago He comes up and say hey i got something for your a** you wanna go and i say no because my throw out bearing went out and its not shifting too easily anymore. He never told me what he has but i was asking the kid that lives near and he talks to him all the time and i asked and he said its a 1.6 dual cam motor he didnt know what that was...i Started Laughing to myself because its funny he has no idea what comming for him.I am Losing my license for six months this monday and i told him he will have to wait six months he said ok....Now to get to the question and i already know that answer but i thought i would put this out there does anyone think that he is going to be able to beat me in my hatch with an H2B H22a,gsr tranny and about 230whp? We both have full interior but his is an Eg hatch which i know is lighter than my car but i will be almost doubling his power.and for the record his will be stock b16 I/H/E and 17s prolly 18s cuz hes a ricer not lowered. I would like to hear some feedback on this future race please i know i will destroy him not to be cocky or Dis the B16...looking forward to replies on this

I find it funny how the EM1 beats the Prelude Type SH in both 1/4mi. and 0-60' times, Considering that the EM1 was about $8000 cheaper at the time and a 50HP difference.

Ya I know its lighter yadda yadda. I have a Car and Driver mag from 1999.

And for the record, dont go cheap on your tires if you do end up getting that swap (which I doubt), because you will hella spin tires.

Oh i know about that em1 and the prelude and yes there is a good weight difference prolly The 2000 Si without Passenger is about 2600 pounds and the 2000 Honda Prelude is about 2904 pounds without passenger there is a difference there now for you smart guy not to be a dick but... The Prelude and the Si are an even match because the power to weight ratio you got a 2600lb Coupe well say 2765/w 165lb psgr at about 165whp vs
a 2904lb Prelude 3069/w 165lb psgr at about 205whp and when you figure this up they are a even race it might as well be two Si's going up against eachother seriously

Now Lets put into play my situation
His car 1993 Honda civic Cx Hb 2094lbs with him in it 2289lbs
Mine 1998 Honda Civic cx Hb 2356lbs with me in it 2556lbs
Now the power him Stock B16a2 I/H/E street tires 170whp
Now Me in H22a semi built I/H/E radials 235whp
now also keep in mine im built with a Hondata running a 2step and i have a great reaction time.him nothing special hell he blew his d15jdms block in half cuz he always beat on it not to mention he is a crappy driver but anywas thats the situation if anyone who knows please tell this guy that

Hey, because your car isn't lowered makes you a ricer? Come on. I've had my 00 si a year and am planning a gsr swap because the b16a2 is smoking. I'm not gonna spend money on a drop til later. Altezzas make you a ricer IMO.

I'd just like to know the outcome of this race when it happens. Who knows, he might just beef up the b16 in 6 months. That's a long time to sit around and do nothing to your car IMO.

i gotta tell you i seen similar cars raced each other and at times the eg with the b16 has won, simply because the owner of the eg with the h22 didn't spend enough money on good tires, with some bad tires, you will have a problem with traction.

... ughh 2 weeks of not being on H-T and i stumble across this... Bench racing is not allowed on H-T... its IMPOSSIBLE to tell what car will be faster regardless of what motor. so many factors tires, suspension so on so forth. i really wish all you 08-09 members would quit filling this site up with garbage.... oh ya - flagged

If your so confident that you will win then why waste a thread asking if you will win? seems rather pointless, in 6 months I hope to see the outcome of this

man, from what i know is that B16s are weak unless you build it. even D16s can pull the B16s. so yeah H22 will dominate.

well its barely bragging rights but it is definately to shut this cocky guy up he has been cocky ever since i met him and i said in 6 months when i get my license back we will go to the track or street if he chickens out of the track i got a very very very remote spot to go and its over a half mile in length. and i know that b16s are that special really i drove one a couple times yes it was nice but my friends mild build Z6 was more impressive but i drove and h22 lude and that was impressive also drove one in a eg hatch and i will say that quick which is leading me to swap my ek for a good and very fast street driven car ...and another thing i hate everone around here that has a civic wit a b16 and there is a lot of them they are so far up there own A** that there head is about to come up through there neck i just wanna able to take my car and go to the test and tunes on sundays and just shut all the cocky ppl that say oh my b16 will beat anything i dunno i would like bragging rights but it has just been my dream to build a fairly fast civic just because no one around here really has a fast one

Bench racing is against the forum rules

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/rules-exclusively-technical-forum-1900308/

Go to the track.
