Help me please with this integra cluster
Maybe you integra owners can help me out?
I'm trying to put a 94 integra cluster in my crx but I'm have a problem with the speedo. Everything work except the speedo. I installed the VSS in the trans and wired it up (With the clip facing away from me power, signal, ground) On the plugs that plug into the cluster I have 13v on B6 as the wheels spin faster the voltage goes down. Does this sound right?

According to my Helms, the signal wire should be opposite the ground wire, with the power wire in the middle. If you look at the harness from the wire side, plug facing away from you, clip facing up, it should go: ground, power, signal.
To test, with ignition on, you should test for voltage between the power (middle) and ground (left) wires. Then you test for voltage between signal (right) and ground (left) wires, and there should be about 5 volts.
Then it says to check the B6 terminal in the cluster harness to check for voltage to body ground. With the wheels in the air and one wheel blocked, rotate the other wheel and see if the voltage pulsates. If it does, replace the speedo. If not, there is an open in the wire between the VSS and the speedo.

I think I may have found my problem. Ends up something was shorting out and fried the VSS. I couldn't find the problem so I tryed the one I picked up today and it started sizzling. I unplugged it and I could and still smell the burnt smell. I ended up getting it to work with a old crx speedo I had laying around. Now I just got to get my speedo cable back from my friend.
thanks
