Default B20 all motor

I plan on building a b20 vtec and i have the majority of parts that i need but cant seem to find a vtec head thats worth it meaning its condition... My question is can i just put my block toghether its an 85mm bore with 12.5:1 compression CP pistons. and break the engine in with my LS head... I have a 1998 B18B In my integra right now but i want to put toghether the block and put my LS head on it until i find a vtec head which i plan on using upgraded springs n retainers, skunk2 stage2 proseries cams and of course port n polish the head....

Its going to take me time to get the b16 or GSR head and then build it, for now i just want to use th LS head to break the block in and a street tune until i can do my full B2O VTEC conversion so will it be safe to use the LS head? The person who is going to be helpin me put the block toghether is an experienced engine builder with plenty of B-series and K-series all motor builds

No, but you might have to set your cams with a lot of overlap.
