Iv got a 91 crx hf with a pop up roof in it. I currently have the whole car stripped down and I want to change out the roof. I have a DX roof for it. I want to make sure its as strong as possible, as I am also doing a rhd conversion once I finish this. Does anyone have a write up on changing a roof. Thanks

 

ouch. that process is going to take a grip of hours. i saw an old coworker replace teh roof on a truck and it took a long time.

 

yeah i was charged $500 for someone to install my roof i guess you have to take out all the pinchwelds but it takes a long time(supposibly)cause they have to do it extremly carefull taking it off and putting it on the roof to not warp the metal, since it is very thin...but mostly i think its you just need patience and the right tools

just drill out the spot welds and then bond on your new roof. 3m makes a panel bond that is just as strong as welding the number is 3116
