91 hatch having trouble staying alive. Help.
Well a while back I had to do a senior project for my school. So what i did was buy a 91 hatch with no compression in the 1st cylinder. So as a project i pulled the whole motor out, replaced new piston rings, new head gasket, resurfaced head, and some other little things.
putting the motor back in, i checked everything and then start it up, fires up right away with a bit of a high idle but was adjusted later.
now to the good stuff, well at a stop the car was idling at like 300-400 rpms till it dies. ecu pulls out codes 1, 7, 14, 20, I replaced the o2 sensor which i thought would have solved the problem. No it didn't. Driving on the highway the other night, cel is on and car dies here and there at the stop lights. so chugging home on whatever momentum i have, the codes are 1,20 this time, i also get the sense that the car is running a little rich, which is hurting the fuel.
the engine is a d15b1 with dpfi. god i hate dpfi.
