My car was running great until a test run and it started acting up. It had the jumping idle 1500 to 3000. If I fixed it due to a vaccum hose coming off at the fuel pressure. After I put the hose back on and it stopped the jumping, but now revs to 3000 and sometimes rises to 4000 until the engine is warm and then it sputters and dies. Any clues to what this problem is? I don't know if it is throwing a CEL because the previous owner pulled the bulb because the CEL was on due to the JDM ITR cluster. Thanks!

probably some sort of senor. Bad tps or map sensor or jacked up ecu. whatever it is its causind extra voltage being sent to the ignition. I say this becuse you metioned it sputters and dies, usualy indicating lack of fuel(or air). Any way make sure you get another opinion. Dyno the car and the software should tell you exactly what is going on.
