Default Help! Kenwood dnx5120 and sound issues

Does anyone know if there are compatibility issues with the Kenwood dnx5120 and the stock preium audio system? I had a friend install it and I know it was done right, but there is this hissing sound coming from the speakers no matter what menu I'm on. I tried calling Best Buy and they think it a a compatibility issue with the stock amp and speakers......

Does anyone have any suggestions? We tapped into the baby blue wire on the amp harness for sound if that makes a difference. Thanks for reading.

Oh yeah, this was done on a 2008 civic si.

does the hiss get louder when you rev or hit the gas? can u hear the hiss when music is still playing? if so how bad is it?

tapping the baby blue or remote turn on wire shouldnt have anything to do with it

No, the hiss doesn't get louder with the gas. It's just constantly on no matter what mode the radio is in.....When I'm driving and the volume is up on the ipod for example, you don't hear it. It's when the ignition is turned on and I'm going through the menus you can hear it. It's almost like the volume on the speakers it set too high....I've played with all the settings though and nothing seems to change it. Even if I'm in the dvd menu with no dvd in the car, you can still hear the hiss...

Anyone else have this problem? I'm thinking it has something to do with the premium sound system not liking an aftermarket radio.

UPDATE

Figured out the problem. The radio had to be hooked up through the preouts. Simple procedure. Once it was done, it now sounds perfect. Just wanted to thank everyone for their help and suggestions.
