Default Cam experts needed jdm b18c/crower

the cam part # is 63401-2 grind number is custom.
advertized cam specifications
intake duration 304* lift .448
exhaust duration 306* lift .417

based on rockerarm ratio 1.55 intake and exhaust

lobe seperation is 107*

duration @ .050
intake 240* .289
exhaust 233* .269

is this cam good for my setup. car will be tuned on cromepro
what should i expect out of these in a jdm b18c skunk2 intake manifold dc header in a em1?

theres no specify answer to your question. where did you get them? did it tell you to upgrade your valvetrain? whats the lift in mm? every motor runs different. the only way is to put them in and test it out.

230+ duration @ 0.050 requires a good tuna (NOT TWEAKER).

A stock map is going to hate the low vacuum and you'll sputter and foul out your plugs in about 30 seconds.

this is 100% true. i ran a pair of these cams on a p73 ecu and could not get the car to run remotely right at idle without a vafc to hack the map signal. it's PIG rich at idle. spend the money on a real tune.

Sorry I mis-read the title. Thought it was B18B LS.

63401 is almost stock replacement, hence runs well with stock ecu.

so you have used this cam in a setup? about how many inches of vacuum were you seeing?

personally, i think you're full of sh*t

i've used this cam. they are rich at idle on a stock ecu from slightly less vacuum.

LOL. i have used them and found the 1-2 degrees of duration and the .002 thou. more lift over stock "R" cams means nothing to the stock "R" ECU in idleing. Of course I had an advantage they were properly installed. I could figure out how to align those funny little marks on the cam gears, and all the valves were seating.

it kinda seems as if its missing or lobing at idle other than that the stock obd2 si ecu is doing ok.. im going to put a itr map in a p28 and take out a lil timing until my tuner can fit me in..

A stock obd2 si map is not going to work.

but it runs pretty good off idle(1100 to 8000) but it feels like its more left in it.. its a far bit faster than a my old black 00 si stock block i/h/e same ecu... i think my p28 is bad i tried like 5 diff maps none worked, then i tried my friends jdm p72 ecu and it ran good on lo cam but vtec would not come on..(my friend always messin w stuff added a wire straight from the jdm ecu circut board 4 vtec cause he has a DA instead of pinning the wire in the connector, dumb huh )

Threads like these show how ****tards have killed H-T. It's like whack a mole, hit one on the head and more pop out.

Go back to reading SA perf books. You'll be able to get 230whp on 15lbs of boost with the "hot" setup.

If only the real world worked this way.

"Pool Cleaning experts needed"
"How can we help?"
"My pool is really dirty, I tried dumping some plain dishwasher soap in there. any ideas?"
"Yeah, that wont work, you need us to do a pro job. It will be $150"
"but the dishwashing soap seemed to work just fine. any more opinions? ?"

Actually, e-thugging would be if we were acting hard, or physically threatening you. All we're doing is shining the light on stupidity. Have a nice day.

Oh I fogot whatta nice guy "ICrashSideWays" is. He gets a big "Atta Boy!!" for mis-information.

It takes alot of work to keep the clarity of the knowledge pool/puddle here from becoming a complete cesspool.

Fighting Mis-information fo da win!!!

E-Thugs? Combustion Contraption and Master of the Universe are 2 of the most knowledgeable people ON this board. Excuse the f*ck out of them if they don't want to go along w/ the bull$hit that happens on this board.

They gave you their opinion....doesn't seem like the claims made by Greddy on the cams probably aren't worth the paper they're printed on.

Just b/c you don't like the advice given, doesn't mean it's not good advice.
