Default Wiper stops the instant you switch them off.

My wipers stop immediately when I switch them off. As in. . if they are half way up, they STOP there. I have to time myself to switch them off!

How can I fix this? Some sort of relay? Some wiring problem?
It is an EG2.
Thanks in advanced!

i had an almost identical problem on my 98 civic, ended up being a bad wiper motor.

yeah theres a mechanism in the motor that makes the wiper return to the rest position even when you turn them off. that could have gone bad or possibly a relay/switch in the system is messed up. id check out the motor itself first.

Wow. I wasn't really expecting any replies being it such an obscure subject! Thanks a lot guys! If it is the motor. . it's gonna stay that way until it completely goes .

Possibilities: Wiper motor, integrated control unit (electronic control of park mechanism), or wiring between the two.
