help with timing belt...
ok...I don't have an air compressor right now because i don't have 220volt wires ran yet...but on to the question...how can i keep the crank from rotateing so i can get the crank pully bolt off??????any solutions or advice please help
Easy... take the starter off or the transmission dust shield and put a screwdriver through a hole in the flywheel/flexplate. Depending on if you have an automatic or manual transmission you could leave it in gear with the tires on the ground and turn the wheel all the way left and do it that way too (as long as your drivetrain is in decent shape/parking pin isn't stripped LOL).
last question is it regular thread or revearse threaded...thanks...I just went and got the tool from the snapon man
just wanna know which way the bolt turns...thanks for the info though i was thinking of doing both of these ideas until the snapon man told me he had a tool just for this job
