so you didn't have to get anything from the rsx to make those fit. just bolted them up?

Sorry for the Link. It was late and I wanted to get it done before I passed out.

Everything bolted up with no problems. I did have to use some washers that came with kit to get the caliper centered on the rotor but other then that it was a direct swap.

From what I was told, this is the first kit for the ITR that Wilwood has sold. I'm waiting on the rear kit to be complete now.

Here's the pics.

Not sure how much testing was done but it's hard to believe that it won't make an improvement. I have not had a chance to put them to the test yet.

That was my first choice but they don't offer anything for the rear. I like things to match. Since it will be shown more then it'll be raced (for now).

I know its more then I need but I needed new rotors and my calipers were rusty anyways.

It's kinda hard to tell there, but did you paint the rotor black or something?

They came all black. I guess it was to prevent rust or something. But it was all worn off after a few miles.

What do you have that matches in the back? Wilwood? Show pictures of that.

Did you delete the mechanical (parking) brake? Does Wilwood, et. al., offer a mechanical add-on for rear brake?

The rear kit is not ready yet. I'm on the list to get it when they figure out the park brake bracket. Everything else is ready but they are doing R&D on the park brake bracket mounting as we speak. I was told it should be ready in the next 2 months.

Not sure because most rims are different even if they have the same offset and widths. My Rota's are 16x7 with a +45 offset.

i wouldnt mind running a 20mm spacer if needed.....the wheels are also 16x7 50+ offset however the spoke design might have some influence on the fitment...could you measure the distance from the hub to the edge of the caliper?

This is what I used to measure before buying the kit.

People can argue about this all day long. The Spoon callipers are controversial because people will tell you that they do not really provide better braking...just better brake feel and the possibility that you'll avoid cooking conventional brake fluids.

The Spoon callipers even use the same size brake pad as the OEM brake callipers.

I have always been curious about what causes people to make changes to the brake systems of the DC2 ITR. My car is a track car, only driven to and from the track. It frequently has to haul down from speeds in the 135-140 range, repeatedly over a 20-30 min period, and I have not really felt compelled to have to make changes to the brake system.

Not looking for a fight, but I'm honestly curious why we make changes to the OEM brake system.

Your right, the OEM brake system was good and provided all the braking power needed. But for me personally it was an eye sore. I could have cleaned them up and painted them but I wanted to go to the next level. I may track the car in the future once I stop trying to keep the miles low and rock chips to a minimum but not anytime soon. I know there's people out there that like to tell other's how to spend there money but everyone has there opinions and I appreciate your's.
