B18c and B18c5? A friend has the B18c and i have the b18c5 but he ALLWAYS has to be right for everything so he says his is better. I just want to know whats the differences and whitch one is better and in what way? Thanks
b18c is either a type r or sir from japan. b18c5 is the type r for north america. The b18c if it is the type r has a little higher compression. And is rated at 200 hp. Hard to say if one is better then the other.
its only rated high HP due to the higher compression pistons, exhaust manifold, and emissions.
they are the exact same engine short of the 18c having a slightly larger dome and thus a bump from 10:6-1 to 11:1 in compression. technically the JDM engine is more powerful because of such.
