Default Calling Other Southern Ontario R Owners

Hopefully no one here minds if I ask...

My group and I are intending to hold an event most likely at the end of May at Shannonville raceway. We are not strangers to organizing events at this locale as we have held events with another group about twice a month during the 2008 season.

Unfortunately they have not expressed any interest in going through with it this season, so we have taken it upon ourselves to hold the events. We have several individuals who frequent with us, so an empty track day would not be the case. But we are also not looking to fill up the track, as we know especially for beginners, it can be pretty intimidating to have 5 cars up your ***.

So it will be a lapping day, no set date yet, although we have one in mind. I'm really just looking for general interest at the moment, to see if we can hit our comfortable amount of about 25-30 cars.

Here are a few quick snaps of a past event:

Depends on the date and track set-up at shannonville, but I'd bring my R out conditions allowed.

it will be a full track setup, but would a saturday or sunday be more suitable? as it may be a 4:30pm to close slot

I might be interested if the timing permits. Do you guys typically run just the night sessions or full days? What track configurations? Approximate cost($)? Please let me know. If the car is out by then and if i am able to get my hands on some track tires, i will very interested.

Thanks.

we normally do night sessions as we have had trouble with a few people attending the track so early in the morning. but the costs will be $80 prepaid and $110 after the 3rd sunday of may...i believe. the track configuration will be the SMP long track which is as follows:

I hate full track. No flow and the infield is in crap shape. I much prefer pro or even once and a while fabi. I understand you can jam more cars on full though. Good luck with the event!

4:30 to dusk really sucks. Long way to go (from the GTA) to run for 3-4 hours then swap tires and drive home in the dark.. ESPECIALLY on a sunday night.
