Default 2003 Silverstone s2000

I'm in the market to buy an s2k and I've found one with 25,783 miles on it and just from looking at the exterior of the car (car lot was closed) it looks to be in near perfect condition. They are asking $15,800 for the car.. blue book is 17 something for suggested retail price which includes dealer mark up. I've searched s2k's on here multiple times, just getting opinions on the price if the vehicle were in perfect running condition. What do you guys think? TIA

Sounds fair, although I would try to knock it down some still. Thats pretty low mileage. Take a look and drive it around when its open. Get a real feel for the car.

i personally wouldn't pay for low mileage. to me good numbers on compression and no issues with tranny/diff would be more valuable than to have a odo that reads low mileage.

I agree, I'd rather have a high mileage car in great mechanical condition than a low mileage POS... But low mileage is a good thing if the car was taken care of. The only sketchy thing I did notice, was the front tires are falken ziex 512's and the rears are azenis

Low mileage = good
mis-matched falkens = bad

I'd rather have a low mileage all OEM car (ie low compression and good trans/diff....comes with low mileage you know) then some POS that's had 3 trannies run through it and is missing half the bolts.

There is an 04 SSM AP2 on another website for 15.8 with 33k on it (Jersey). The car you have found sounds a bit high priced considering what's on the market right now.

Best of luck in your search.

That's what I was thinking. for almost 16k you could definitely get yourself into a lower mileage AP2. Unless you really fall in love with this one I'd say keep looking, there are much better deals to be had.

edit: Here's a black AP2
