HONDA FIT HEADLIGHT REPLACEMENT
Has anyone considered upgrading the 2008 Honda Fit headlights? I am thinking of getting the Sylvania Ultra headlamps to provide a lot more light which is white and gives a longer area of view. Does anyone know how to change out the bulbs? How do you get to them? I hope it is from inside the engine compartment but what do you have to move or remove to get to them?

It's in the book. It is novel, for me, anyway. You have to bend the plastic fenderwells out of the way. Turn the tire so you have enough exposure to the front of the fenderwell. Then remove the two round black connectors on the outer edge, with a flat blade scredriver. (they pop up.) (You might find it easier to reach in, by removing the philips screw next to the top plastic connector. This allows you to flex more of the fenderwell out of the way.)
Then bend the fenderwell out of your way so you can reach the back of the light.
Unplug the connector. pull off the round rubber weatherseal.
The light is clipped in place by a wire shaped like a "V". Push down and out on one side to unclip it, then it swings out of the way. Pull on the three prongs to get the light out. Note the position of the three prongs so that you can fit them in the proper keyed position when replacing them.
