ef obd1 block and obd0 head?

Default ef obd1 block and obd0 head?

how would i go about swapping a b16 into my ef the block is obd1 and the head is obd0 is this a bunch of headache or is it worth it the guy is going to sell it to me for 675, please all help is appreciated

what ever would be easiest the car i dpfi so either way i have to get it converted and get a sub harness with vtec solenoid, so what one would be easiest or how do i go about this, i dont know much about mixing obd head and blocks

well either way is not that bad, dx to mpfi to obd1 or dpfi to obd0, the obd0 might be cheaper..

I didnt say that, COnvert it to mpfi then it would be readyto go as far as obd0. If you wanna go obd1 then convert it to that aftyer its mpfi hope that helps.

you'll need the grey plug obd1 b16 distributor, 4 wire o2 sensor and the conversion harness from rywire.com or such. That's about it.

if you convert it to mpfi then its all ready to go obd0 which I guess would be easiest. From obd0 mpfi you convert to obd1. One more step in the process plus the obd1 distributor new is around 2 bills. Obd0 you can use the stock o2 sensor and all.

if your switching and are ok with doing wiring just get a obd0-obd1 jumper harness. do not worry about injector clips as your will be fine. and the other guy is making things sound a little more hard then what it is. just read up on some other posts and do some quick searching

just swap u car to mpfi and slap the b16 with mounts linkage ect ect in the car its not that hard to do.


obd1 is for later use dont worry about it cause its not required

and u could always use the search button for dpfi to mpfi swaps

i would do some search but honda-tech search blows.., and i know about the mounts and stuff i just want to get EVERYTHING i need so i can have it runnig in a day or two after putting it in with no problems

If its your first swap you'll likely encounter things, expect there to be more downtime/costs than planned and have a bit of extra cash as a safety net.

ya im plannig on have my tsi built so i can drive that until this one is done hopefully i just can find a place to buy the three motor mount bolts that hold the engine in any suggestions

what should i have the connector as though is my main concern.. should i stick with ob0 what my car is or should i go obd1

u can buy the bolts new from honda not sure on the price but prob like 2 a piece or so

all in all man if ya have the money to buy that dpfi to obd1 i would, i went obd1 about 2 months ago and my car seams to run so much smother. granted i made all my harnesses
