I ran progress springs and didnt have much luck with them like other members did. The eibachs look good.

But your best bet is to get coilovers. ALso check out the sticked thread at the top Pictures and what not. There are lots of pages to look through and then you can PM that person what they have set up wise.

Eibach Sportlines w/ Tokico blues. They are still settling as the pic shown here is the springs @ 1 week. I dont have a huge sound system to weigh the rear down so it's settling slower than the front as you can see. IMO the sportlines and prokit are very similar in ride comfort, but the sportlines offer a much cleaner drop of around 1.4-1.6"

Eibach FTW ! I've had sportlins on my DC5-S and now on my FA5 no complaints.

I've had skunk 2 shocks and spring on a DB8 that got stolen and that was a rough ride

first of all, eibach springs in general i feel are the best quality springs, hands down. they are quality from beginning to end, the R&D and product consistency is world renowned.

and, specific to this thread, the eibach pro-kit would be my choice.

the sportline is more aggressive (stiffer, lower). if you were to take two cars, one w/ the pro-kit and one w/ the sportline, and face them off on a track, the pro-kit car would most likely perform just as good, if not better, and it would also yield more clearance for daily driving, such as clearing driveways, etc. it also would show less tire wear over time and would not necessarily require any type of camber correction to achieve that.

pro-kit is 1" in the front, 1.2" in the rear. the sportlines are 1.4" and 1.4"

re: getting coilovers, honestly, you will find that you will set them at a height that an eibach spring kit would give you, and you'll never touch them again. with that, you'll be spending more money, and also be getting a questionable spring and/or rate. the eibach springs are designed specifically around the stock dampers and/or a street performance replacement damper, so you know you will have a well matched product.

Hey guys...sorry for thread jacking but I don't want to create a new thread to discuss something that I know has already been talked about. I just purchased Skunk2 springs a few days ago, and I have read some people say that you need to cut the rear bump stops when you get lowering springs. I've also read it is not necessary. Do I need to do this with my car, and if so, does anyone know of a DIY on how to do so?

When I dropped my other car on eibach pro kits, I had to trim my front bump stops. It's quite simple. If you have a dremel, just saw off a part of it. However, the kit I bought instructed me to trim off a set amount. So any one in here know how much to remove?

Yeah...from what I've read online, the instructions on whether or not (and how much) to cut the bump stops varies between brands, so I'll see what my instructions say when my springs arrive....hopefully tomorrow!

I'm about to order my Sportlines, so I thought this thread would be appropriate.

Should I be looking for a sedan specific product. I'm currently looking on coresports.com and I don't see any differentiation.

Also, would anyone recommend both a front and rear camber kit? I've heard you can get away with just the front.

Thanks!

The springs are the same, whether it be for a coupe or sedan.

I've heard great things about SPC front and rear camber kits.
