King Motorsports Project Vehicle & Test Car
Many of you have been asking for information on products and services that we offer that we have not been able to provide/ answer... those days are coming to an end!!
King Motorsports has secured a "project car" from American Honda and it should be showing up shortly. The plan is to test a series of products and services to help quantify gains for these individual parts as well as combinations. The project car will be completely stock.
As a teaser... King Motorsports will be leading in with some testing on a customer’s car that we had secured prior to American Honda approving our request for a project car. The customers car was dropped off last week for a baseline run and is extremely excited to be a part of this thread! Even though there may be some redundancy in these tests, we feel strongly about making good on or commitment to this customer.
Information on the customers car will come first (1st.) and then we will follow up with additional data on our car shortly after it arrives...
So stay seated and check back often!!

I guess... it's not our car. The customer must not drive it much because he was more than willing to leave it with us for the duration of the test, at least one month.
191 whp on a stock si??
the correction must be a little off.
it should be around 185-188.
but idk what the conditions where during the dyno run so i could be wrong.

its a dynojet and not every dyno is gonna dyno the same. One dynojet compared to another dynojet will all produce diff numbers. Also even the same type of car 06+ si vs 06+ si on the same dyno will produce diff numbers. You cant compare them. Its to many variables. Alls you need to see is that the car put down 191whp and see what each add on makes in reference to that.

We have plenty of dynos of stock Civic Si's to put the controversy to rest... the dyno does not read high. We have other graphs that agree with your statement.
First test... King Motorsports 65mm DBW Throttle Body and factory everything else.

Powa everywhere!!
There is a considerable torque increase across the board. An impressive increase in horsepower from 6000 rpm to redline with the largest gain in both horsepower and torque seen between 6000-6500 rpm.
Technical Note: 65mm is just a hair larger than the ID of the intake manifold, normally we would suggest boring the intake manifold at the same time, but with such a small lip exposed... I'm not sure the additional $90 for the service and extra shipping costs would be worth it.

Second test... AEM CAI and Stock Throttle Body.

Things are a little sketchy below 3700 rpm and despite our multiple pulls with the cold air inplace, we could not get this to smooth out. There was however a decent horsepower increase from 3800 rpm to 5300 rpm and 6200 rpm to redline. The largest gain is at at 5000 rpm but we cannot discredit the strong finish...
