Default B20 Build....questions

can i run type r valve train in my b20? also the cams aswell is this possible it will not be a b20vtec so thats why im asking

bro i have a b20b with 12.1> at 85.5 toda piston..
with a b16b head and it working for me....

As SIred91 has already stated, you "can not" use type R valve springs on a non vtec B20 head.

I don't know why other people in this thread don't understand....you have stated you will not be running a vtec head. I guess they don't know how to read

well if you do b16b (civic type R) valve it bigger then b20... all you have to do is 3 point cut to make it fit

^^ what a waste of money! So buddy is going to go out, buy a set of 16 Valves, Dual valve springs, then go to a machine shop, pay for the to mod and install it?

For all the trouble, he'd better off buying a used vtec head to begin with and go b20 vtec, or get the non P8R high flow non vtec head found on some jdm B20's

there is a b20 non vtec head with vtec sized valves in it called the p8r head, if you are soo concerned go out hunting for that head! but if you ask my opinion its a waste of time and effort to do so!
