Default Are 89 civic spindle/hub/knuckle assembly the same as 90?

I can't believe this question hasn't been asked or answered yet on this forum.

I bought a Wilwood "Big Brake Kit" (wilwood part number 140-8695) which says that it is for "HONDA CIVIC (4 LUG) FOR FACTORY 240mm DISC SPINDLE.

Their website says that it will fit 90-00 civic (all) and 90-01 integra (all)

My question is why will it fit a 90 civic, but not an 89?

I dunno if this helps, but my car is a 1990 civic hatchback STD and I bought spindles from a 1989 civic sedan and they fit.
