i recently read a thread and the OP never mentioned what car he owns and never added any pictures of the part in question with poor fitment.

can anyone tell me why this person is so stupid?

if it doesnt fit properly there are only a few possibilities,

1. the flap is aftermarket
2. the flap is for a different model vehicle
3. the rear bumper is aftermarket
4. your friend lied to you

Are the mud guards too long? If you use 90-91 mudguards on a88-89 bumper you will have a gap at the bottom.

you have to be the stupidest person alive.

no one gives a crap what you do with these flaps, run them with a gap, who cares man.
if you want flaps that fit get the correct flaps, end of discussion.

what a waste of a thread, use your brain.

if the flaps dont fit flush then they are not the right ones.

the rears should attach with around 4 screws if im correct. 3 that screw to the bumper or maybe 2 and 1 that screws into the inner wheel well of the car. if its not made for the car the holes wont line up. give a parts number.

what's the part number on the flaps? its on em you just have to look and/or clean em good to see the number.

i usually use some armorall to see the numbers easier.

rallypoint already gave you your answer several posts ago

why are you beating a dead horse, stop being lazy and go out and buy the correct mudflaps.
