Ok so I rebuilt my Dohc Zc recently...the #2 cylinder is not firing. It's getting fuel and spark. I checked over and over. I'm not getting any codes either.

I'll be performing a compression test over weekend to tell if it's the valve's or rings. I wouldn't think it would be the rings seeing that they are new.
The head was rebuilt professionally at a local shop...new valve seals and valve guide seals.

I didn't adjust the valves before reinstalling the head. Is it possible that since I did not adjust the valve that the valves on that cylinder are sticking causing the cylinder not to fire. Ever since I rebuilt the engine that cylinder has not being firing. All other spark plugs are building up with carbon also and the cylinder that is not firing is clean but smells of gas. I am just ready to get this thing rolling...any help is greatly appreciated.

i'm in the same boat you are. but 1@2 aren't firing everthing else is the same.

 

Are you guys getting spark at the spark plug itself?
You need to test each plug for spark.
After you do that, check the actual plug wire. Swap the wire with a known good one that you just tested and got spark.
If you now get spark, replace wire.

 

also if the spark plugssss are running too hot it will cause a misfire check ur plugs and gap make sure everything fit ur car
