When driving my '94 GS-R it shakes apon acceleration between 2,500-3,500 rpms. The dash will literally shake from side to side and it feels like the car is going to rattle apart. It has done it ever since I bought it back and I was told it is probably the axles. Anyone agree with that or do you think it is something else?

 

CV axle inner joints are shot. 100% sure on that. Replace both, just to be safe.

If at all possible, try to get new axles, not rebuilts. Too often rebuilt axles have crap inner joints right out of the box, speaking from personal experience here.

 

Well luckily the axles have lifetime warranties on them so I will just go get them swapped.

 

The ones I got from NAPA have since changed to only a 3-yr warranty. I found that out awhile back when I had to replace an axle that was 3.5 yrs old and I hadn't planned on having to pay. Ended up having to fork over another $65
