ok so i have an 2001 s2k and i hit someone then someone hit me the airbags blew out, now the motor wont start its not making any noise at all, the dash lights turn on all the elctrical stuff works...theres no damage to motor it looks fine the core supports not touching the motor or anything, nuthing got pushed against the motor it. Now people have told me the the ecu needs to be reflashed in order to start is this true? or is it something to do with srs unit needing to be reset?

 

Wow, sorry to hear. Even in a spin-out, the engine sometimes kills. But it always starts back up. If nobody gets back to you from here soon enough, I would do as you heard and start from there. Though I personally have no idea if that is anywhere near the truth, but it is a start I suppose.

I truly wish you luck with everything. I could only imagine how horrible it must feel to not be able to drive!!!

The ECU does not need to be flashed period. Why won't the car start? Is it not getting fuel or spark?

 

Does it crank at all? We need some more info.

 

I think most if not all new cars have inertia "switches" which get triggered in high G loads (like accidents)

They cut the fuel pump so that in case of an accident their isnt fuel being pumped out onto the ground

The owners manual should say where the button is to reset it so the pump will work again..

Could be wrong but just another option to check off
