Need new tires soon
Hey guys I have a 2008 Sport that came stock with the Dunlop tires. I'm not impressed. At 6000 miles I'm at 8/32 in tread wear. I will be shopping for new pretty soon I guess. What tire would you recommend? There's a bunch of choices out there but I won't be buying Dunlops again. Thanks.
Never mind with my question.
After some further research, it turns out that brand new they come with 10/32 of tread. I guess 2/32 of tread wear after 6000 miles isn't as bad as I thought.

Either way, keep away from Dunlops as replacements. First thing I did was get those off of there and put on yokohamas.
Been in the tire business for a few years now, and with few exceptions, Yoks are the most consistent. Goodyear's Eagle GT are good all season performance. Michelin Pilot Exalto AS are ok, but not worth the dough. If I ran 1 set of tires all year it would be Yokohama YK520s.
I have Yok. Ice Guard for the winter and S Drives for the summer. Best decision I ever made.
