Default chiped ecu for d16z6 racecar

i know nothing about the honda tuning thing.Just bought a civic with bad title and made a race car out of it.I run circle track.3/8 mile.It has the d16z6.I was wondering how to go about getting it chiped cause i guess it will give me a considerate amount of more power.Do i just buy the whole ecu or just a chip to put in it?Do i have to chip it special if i run a higher lift cam? Will i need adj cam gear to get the full potential of the chip.( i know deffinatly i do if i ru n a higher lift cam though)and finally do i have to take it to a tuner get everything in order with it.thanks.really appreaciate the help.I just really really suck at computer crap.

You should first consider what your power goals with the vehicle are, then proceed from there.

You should also figure out what kind of computer modifications are allowed in your class etc...

Concerning tuning, check out http://www.phearable.net/tech/efibeginnerguide.html

Good Luck
