Default which is cheaper, body shop or new parts

i have a 93 hatch that has some minor body damage on the hood and driver door and front bumper. i know there is no saving the bumper because it is plastic but... would it be cheaper to buy new door skin and a new hood and then paint the car. i was planning to paint whole vehicle anyways. or would it be cheaper to take it to a body shop to have them get the dents out.

thank you for the information. because i was looking at the replacement parts and they were alot cheaper than i thought...even shipped.

Junkyard parts would be even cheaper still.

I was quoted something like $40 for a hood and $25 for a passenger door skin for my 91 Integra, local pickup. Prices went down if I wanted parts with more than just paint damage.
