Ls tranny question
Hello,
since there are too many cases of people getting poped for tranny swap, I'm wondering if there is a possibility to swap the TYPE R internals in to LS tranny w/out modifications, or just drop the type r tranny in which i bought from the dealer and have the legit receipt.
any input will be helpfull
thanks.

This might sound pathetic, but they have a book full of pictures on how everything must look stock, with vin #s which represent what and everything that has to do with OEM parts for the year and the model, they dont know anything for a fact, but rely on pictures, so peeling off the sticker is one option, but they might question why its not there. but i think im going to take the risk and just drop the type r tranny in and hope for the best.

The type R internals should fit, although you may have to grind down the little reinforcement ribs inside the LS casing where the diff goes in. You would also need to re-shim the diff and the mainshaft thrust clearances.
