Caint find the right timing belt! HELP!

Default Caint find the right timing belt! HELP!

I am doing a build on a d16a6 block and putting a d16y8 head on it but i am running into to a prob with the timing belt. I tried the timing belt for the a6 and it is to big and i tried the timing belt for the y8 but its to small. What do i do please help!

I did a quick google search and found one guy that said he used the Y8 belt.

I dont know for sure though,

y8 will work. do you have the tension off the tensioner and the cam and crank lined up right?

Yea i have the tensioner off and the crank and cam are lined up but the belt is tight as ****.

if i recall.. when i did my a6/y8 i used a d15b7 belt from a 92-95 civic dx/lx.

I had problems with a belt about a week ago. I used aftermarket head studs and torqued them to honda specs. check spec for your studs and make sure they're good to go. Other than that try what Jas9848 said see if any of that helps you.
