silly projector question...?

did a retrofit with an unknown lexus projector...

however we took apart both projectors when i was putting them together

it has a little metal sheild in them, is it suppose to be on the top or the bottom?

top.
im 95% sure if you put it in the bottom all the light will be up high blinding everyone.
on top it keeps the light down
its got to do with the cut off.
