Default worth it or not? opinions please

PLEASE no flame here, just opinion.
My car is auto. and I know a friend/shop with totalled 2000 legit type R motor/tranny with all necessary parts to convert to a manual from the R(ecu, cluthe, etc), asking for 5 to 6 thousand. that includes labor. does that sound too expensive?
will that cause alot of problems later if I DID the swap?

Great price for a legit swap out the door.

I'd jump on it!

Tell them your car is what it is.... a 95 thats all they don't need to see under the hood at least here in jersey, now inspection is different but a whole other ball game.
