worth it or not? opinions please
PLEASE no flame here, just opinion.
My car is auto. and I know a friend/shop with totalled 2000 legit type R motor/tranny with all necessary parts to convert to a manual from the R(ecu, cluthe, etc), asking for 5 to 6 thousand. that includes labor. does that sound too expensive?
will that cause alot of problems later if I DID the swap?

Let say If I did get the swap, How do you get around DMV? re registered again? my car will be a 95 with 00 R components.
at least here in jersey, now inspection is different but a whole other ball game.

you can actually go to a smog ref and get it all legalized. just depends on your setup.. whether your year integ is obd1/obd2.. and blah blah.
