hi i just bought a 95 accord ex auto with 190k and i was hoping if anyone know if it would be possible to swap a 93 h22a4 engine with auto transmission? maybe if is possible than what will i need to do? like maybe rewire alot of stuff and new mounts and axles and ecu? anyone?

simple answer, yes.

 

a H22a JDM is a direct swap but a H22a4 is out of a 97+ Prelude with the sportshift trans is another story it's more complicated and as far as I know nobody had done this swap most will put a 5sp in as there are no USDM auto H22a OBD1 motors.. Me on the other is going to attempt (after my car is fixed) a H22a4 from a 99 prelude base so far the problems to evercome is to find a SS trans that isin't bad or going out and a OBD1-> OBD2 swap as I live in California and have to pass inspection also another thing to overcome is the immobilizer used in 97+ preludes .
