Default Need help on build.

Hey, i've registered on this site a while back but never really checked it out. Well i drive an 08 mugen si and just bought a k20a2 longblock and planning to do an NA build on it. I need some advice on what to do, i plan on swapping it out with the k20z3 after i'm done with the build. i want to build the motor from bottom to up, but not really wanting to go fully built on it either. I just want a nice built car but can still be driven daily. I'm needing some advice on what to do.

Why don't you just buy a shell to put that a2 in rather than in a Mugen?

To start with, I would look into Cosworth 86mm, 12:1 Forged Pistons and Rods, or the JUN Super Piston kit for the Honda Civic SI. Match that with a Brain Crower Crankshaft and you will have a solid bottom end.

Just my .02 cents

Dude Stop the Madness!!! if you got money Do not toch the z3 motor unless you got a k20a(R) that you want to waste.Just get youself a k24 block, send it to RS machine shop have them fully build the block , then to be safe Dual Valve Springs and RETAINERS so u can rev 9k and be safe .Then all you need is 2a harness and kpro. 250 HP all motor on a worst day :-) and you keep you z3 block on a side and k20a2 that you have just sell it to pay for the build . Peace

agreed on this one, the Mugen SI should be respected for what it is but thats just my opinion ...

as for the build, N/A = ITBs ... end thought (for now)

Just go FI on the z3 way more efficient and less work. Lots of z3 owners FI with no issues, I'm one of them.
