95 honda civic dx headlights
my friends headlight went out
he bought some bulbs back in high school that were really bright.
it melted the housing...
hes buying new housing/headlights
i was wondering what kind of bulbs he will need? watts? (i read somewhere that they were h4 - just wanted to make sure)
if the wiring is burnt out too, is there a specific type of wiring needed or just any that sockets the right light bulb?
any other information to help us noobs would be greatly appreciated... thanks!

Stock headlights and stock-replacement H4 bulbs, or some of these newer stock-wattage H4's that actually put out more light without melting stuff will be your best bet. Don't buy into the "55W = 95W" BS nonsense you see on alot of these crap ricer blue bulbs. And PLEASE do not put any sort of PnP HID kit into those headlights. Nothing but pure crap.
is 9003 bulb size the same as h4?
i found these on ebay:

how are these? ill check out the osram ones too...
so i need 55watt bulbs correct? nothing more...
