Ok so the car drives fine the only thing is when i fill the tank up the Fuel Gauge goes all the way empty till it cant anymore.. and after it will go up like half way then back down then back up.. just switches off. any ideas what can be causing this prob? thanks...

the level gauge in your gas tank might be out you gata drain your tank then drop it and check the floater valve but thats just my two cents on it

 

Im gonna say its your fuel level sending unit.. Before I switched mine out if i filled up it would go to empty then when I reached about a half tank the sensor would read right until i got to a quarter then it would go empty again.. changed the sensor fixed the problem.. I'm not sure how to tell but in my 88 CRX and 91 Civic Hatch the fuel level sensor is accesible under the security box/ rear seat BUT in my repair manual it says thats where the fuel pump should be.
