Spencer, it was the worst day ever for me yesterday.....my car just simply WON'T turn at all!! I was driving the way I normally do, and you know how my car was tend to oversteer. But not yesterday, let alone lift throttle oversteer, I can't even get the car lose even when breaking heavily in the corner. I change two thing last week, LSD and one of the rear caliper....And I know its not the lsd because exiting the corner is fine... I just can't get the car to rotate and point to where I want to go before exiting the corner
. it was just so frustrating and I don't really know what went wrong until I got home and when unloading the tires, I noticed that the rear tires got some bad uneven wear. then I went to check the toe of the rear tires and one of them look toe in even eyeballing it. I think I accidentally moved the toe arm when prying out the seized caliper. I will tape measure it tomorrow to make sure and hopefully that's what causing the problem.
BTW, my front lip fall off from hitting too many cones and was crushed into pieces...who said carbon fiber are strong
?

TW00Si, that was your Prelude w/ the CF in NSTS? Holy crap you were fast. Good job.
At least Accords got a little more representation with a total of 3! Weekendracer who frequents the Accord section of HT was out with his Seatle silver metalic 92 COUPE w/ H22 in SM. And there was a 5th gen Accord who I didnt know, he ran in HS. And then there was me...I cant wait to see the final results posted so I can brag about how I got a 46.xxx PAX w/ stock suspension
...all 3 Accords their were Seatle silver metalic.
wow... completly missed this topic.... Thanks for the concern but I wish I had just overslept. Posted in the other nassau topic that I broke a bolt on my suspension. The pinch bolt broke on my right front shock fork. It probably would have been fine but I didn't think autocrossing on it would be the smartest idea. The ride height on the car lookes all F-ed up too... I might take it apart tonight to correct some stuff. anyways.... hope you guys had fun, I wished I was out there so many times yesterday.
yea, i figured i'd start a fresh thread with less pages.
sorry to hear about ur suspension matt. once everything comes back from tru choice, u'll be back to spec and flying in dsp
bummer bout the toe kevin. i didn't get to see any of ur runs, but when i saw one of ur times that was a bit too close to me, i knew something was worng. no biggie. u'll get it corrected for the next event. are u commin to nasa next week?

It was certainly a good day for me...I've NEVER won a trophy before since this is my first season. Too bad, I didn't get 1st...lost it after the 4th run. Oh well...2nd place is good enough for now...
Spencer, I don't know if I'm ready to play with the big boys yet...heheh...I'm still slow and need to work on my smoothness factor...I kind of want to know how many more autox events the guy that beat me in novice class had under his belt...
Anyway, I doubt I'll be back in NY to race with you guys this season again, since class is going to start again for me on the 26th. But you guys have fun and kick some ***!!!

yea, i can't wait for the PAX numbers to see how i did over all. i think in pax i beat my friend in his S4 on r's. but he's been out of the sport for all of this year. so i have to give him time to get up to speed. it was good to do a local event. i have been traveling to NJ for most of this season, so seeing a bunch of local guys was very nice.
tw00si-i heard u me a friend of mine and a fellow H-Ter stanbo? small world, huh?

hey, don't worry guys. as u may have heard before, seat time is key. u'll be up to speed in no time. no worries. i'm going to sts next year and i've never auto-xed with suspension work. so i won't be all fast next year either
Spencer,
So it gonna be STS next year huh? Cool! what year and trim level is your civic? You're going to have alot of fun (and some frustration
) setting up your car! Is it your daily driver as well? The amazing part is I got so used to driving on the modified suspension that I began to take it for granted. The past couple days (since saturday when I put the stock springs and shocks back on) have been an eye opening experience. Maybe it will teach me some patience
... probably not though.

Ryan, get instructors to sit with you...you'll benefit from that. You better kick some *** next season. I will try to go back and run with you guys again next season. STS is very competitive...hopefully next season I will have my LSD in and I'll be running in STX or even SM if people complain about my CF hood. I want to see the full results...hope they post it soon.
yea, sts it is. its mainly so that i can be compettive (or at least faster) in non-scca autocrosses. but i figure what the heck. sis looks real compettive and people say that my car should do ok. its a 91 hatch but the standard. 70hp, 4 speed, optional 2 speaker sterio(removed for 6lb weight savings
) but its super light @ about 2000lbs. so we will see. i hope to be compettive in sts in nnjr. thats my main basis
oh, and it is my daily driver.
i know what u mean with the suspension. i get so used to driving on the r's at an event that when i hit an entrance/exit ramp the car just looses grip so early. and with streets u can tell when its gonna go. where as r's it pritty much goes. i'm interested to run with suspension work though. i never have. should be a learning experience
