94 integra gsr, worth it?
I found a nice, clean, 1994 Integra GSR (not swapped), leather interior with only a few cracks, new paint, JDM front end that lines up properly, apexi exhaust, good falken tires on swirles, almost 197k on original motor and body, 20k since rebuild apparently with receipts, skunk2 intake manifold and throttle body, alarm, few other goodies, stock airbox, Cusco suspension, and has what sounds like a loose converter shield that rattles only at a certain rev that should be easy to fix by just pulling it off. They want $6,500 and I offered $6000 and they said yes. Worth it?

the car looks clean, i give u that, but i thnk $6000-$6500 its not worth it for a 94 gsr..well, it depends on the milleage.. u can buy ur self a 94 gsr for 3000 to 3500.. buy a front end for 1200 then install them ur self.. just do the math.. my opinion, i would rather buy a stock car and fix it my self with my own taste.. ill nver buy a car thats been built by someone else... GOOD LUCK!
I'd love to build my own, but I don't have tools, time, a place to do it. My apartment gives you **** if you do anything more than change a tire in the parking lot. From the math I did, with everything the car has, the parts alone and the time invested is more than the asking price.
I don't mind spending this much, but my girlfriend is on my dick hardcore about it now after she told me I could buy it and today the bank dicks me around won't let me withdrawal that much cash without her signature as well and it has me second guessing myself now.

Defintely a good buy.. its going to cost about 1200 just for that front end but to paint it is an extra $500 minimum.. the car looks clean as long as everything works i say do it especially considering you living situation.. the mileage is high but if he has reciepts then thats a plus.. also he has good suspension. id make an agreement with the owner that you get a week to take it to a shop and make sure everything is koo with the motor. also u want to make sure that your still getting the horsepower your supposed to be getting. if it doesnt feel as fast as it should be they might not have rebuilt it correctly..
I already told him I'd give him $6k which was $500 less than the asking price. I drove the car last night, but I didn't go past 2nd because we were in a mall parking lot. It felt as fast as it should.
Yeah man, if you like it and it drives well then go for it. Might want to take it on to a highway just to be sure that everything is running right. Also while your parked w/ the engine running put on the air conditioner, turn on the heat, adjust the fan level, etc. Just make sure that all those systems are working right and you'll get an idea of how healthy the car is.
Of course, you could always agree to the sale provided the car passes a basic, mechanical inspection funded by the seller. It's really not that uncommon a request. If you're not sure that is.

yes, i second this.
I wouldnt say its not worth it, but I wouldnt say thats a bargain either, I thinks its priced at what it should be!
think about it a gsr with a clean title,a rebuilt b18c1 with 20k and receipts to prove and clean mods, nice suspension, nice rims,a clean *** jdm fron end, sick *** paint job(wayyy more than 500 trust me),a sunroof, leather seats and the only problem you can come up with is a cat rattle! I mean wow that car has really been treated well, I second my thoughts and say BUY IT!

HIDs? Make sure you test drive it up to at least 70. Have the owner drive if they don't feel comfortable letting you drive. Did you try to withdraw 6k cash? Just get a cashier's check. Where are you located?
To all the other posters, I sure don't see good condition GSRs for 1300 or clean jdm front ones for 5k around here.
Lol at built not bought. Bunch of jokers.

yeah thats a good point, I too think a compression and leakdown is a must, take it to a mech and theyll do both for tops a 100 bucks and both will be done in less than an hour, both will give you good guidence of the motors condition!
yea really. Id rather buy a car somebody else has poured their money in and get it for a deal than spend $10k to end up with a $5k car. That car wouldnt last a day for sale in VA for $5500.
Im still trying to undo and repair the "mods" the fvcktard before me did to my car
