Default performerx over blox

I have a blox gsr manifold on my gsr and I was wondering how much power gains I would see if I switched to a performerx intake mani instead. I have an omni power tb 68mm and the blox mani is taped to 68 for it. The car made 200whp and I was thinking if I switched to a Performerx I may see and few hp gain in the mid-range.

This would be a good test. I am looking to do a VICTOR X vs PERFORMER X test on my 2 liter. Personally, I think the PERFORMER X is well suited to a build of your HP level and your choice of TB size as well.

Ya I am going to switch out my blox manifold for the performer x. I was talking to you a while back on aim cc about getting some head work done. I am going to be needing some work done for sure real soon I am suppose to take my car to the body shop soon I was thinking I would ship the head for a hot street package before I brought it in. Then we can see some real number gains.

Blox is a type R copy like the skunk2 correct?

I am doing the exact same thing on my built gsr. I should be in the same HP range as you. From all the dyno testing on Honda-Tech I have seen that the performerX is a good manifold for our applications and motors bigger than ours. Based on what I have seen it would be a good addition to your motor.

Only problem is that the performer X will take more work to fit since it lacks a water pipe fitting to the head and probably won't come with the vacuum line fittings.

My PERFORMER X came with all the vacuum fittings and a water pipe fitting as well.

Test was done here. PX made VTEC 500rpms lower worth to switch, while it was a few horses behind on the top.
(stock 1.6, good intake, cheap header and S2S3 cams... cams: I know and I agree)
PX would be my choice, due to its midrange and ~same top.

Something else you need to consider with the BLOX, it is a copy of Skunk2 original GSR manifold. That means the Skunk and the Blox don't have the optimum angle for a GSR head. The intake ports are at a different angle than the ITR head. The PX and the Skunk Pro Series have taken this into consideration of their designs. Will that make more power, maybe. It sure can't make it worse.

I have 2 water pipe fittings on my old skunk2 mani that run to the thermostat housing. One big and on small. With the performer X was just going to block off the smaller one, is that what you did?
